We might be like dust of the earth, but as long as we trust in the Rock, our names will never be mud!
When dust of earth meets Water of Life, it is to make us clay for the Potter, not mud for the slinging!
I awoke today with this thought:
Said the simple tortoise to the taunting hare, “It’s okay! I’ll get there!”
When the opportunity comes, it’s too late to prepare.
The more scared we are of a work or calling, the more sure we can be that we have to do it.
Am I learning how to use my Bible? The way to become complete for the Master’s service is to be well soaked in the Bible; some of us only exploit certain passages. Our Lord wants to give us continuous instruction out of His word; continuous instruction turns hearers into disciples.
How many observe Christ’s birthday! How few, His precepts
I came to [Christ] because I did not know which way to turn. I remained with Him because there is no other way I wish to turn. I came to Him longing for something I did not have. I remain with Him because I have something I will not trade. I came to Him as a stranger. I remain with Him in the most intimate of friendships. I came to Him unsure about the future. I remain with Him certain about my destiny. I came amid the thunderous cries of a culture that has 330 million deities. I remain with Him knowing that truth cannot be all-inclusive.
It is quite easy for us to be taken up with all of the problems of the world when we don’t take up the word as often as we should.
God loves with a great love the man whose heart is bursting with a passion for the IMPOSSIBLE.
Whoever gives thought to the word will discover good, and blessed is he who trusts in the LORD.
You would think that many Christians took a “hypocritic oath”. We say that we are followers of the Great Physician who said that “You shall be witnesses for Me”. Yet we don’t tell people about Jesus.
